Closing thoughts and suggested starting points
The author's view is that opportunity exists in this direction. Whether to act on any of this - and how - is a personal decision that should be made with the relevant licensed professionals. This is not a directive.
Five Suggested Starting Points
The YouTube Launch
Record a three-minute video about a skill you possess. Upload it today. Repeat until you have 100 videos, improving one thing each time.
Intellectual Audit
Identify what you can teach. If it took you an hour to learn, it is valuable to someone who hasn't spent that hour yet.
Communication Firewall
Disengage from anyone who uses your emotional energy as their primary regulator. Protect your build time.
Physical Search
Research land prices in regions you would actually consider living in. Verify with a local real-estate attorney before drawing conclusions.
The Shop Build
Some builds in this price range have been documented. Habitability standards, financing, and insurance considerations vary by jurisdiction and individual circumstance. Not advice.
The author's thesis: that real security may be found not in a high-status zip code, but in a low-overhead environment that facilitates deep, focused work. One version of that: the insulated corner of a red-iron shop, where the noise of the world is filtered out, and the work of the hands is documented for a global audience. Whether that thesis applies to your situation is for you to determine.
Whether the medium is garden robots, custom furniture, or miniature painting, the underlying idea is similar: lower the overhead, build something real, and document the work. The rest is your call.
